Istra,..

I d also like to write ore about our trip to iStra.It was an very interesting and important trip for us, dn for me too,..We had some very nice time and we have also done a lot of the things that were nice and good for our CAS.wE have for example built a boat out of a cheimyls and also the things that we dounf in the hotel and our rooms and the conference rom,.well it was a kind of a hard taksk and job, but thanks to my friend maTANAT, who did an amazing job building and planning and doing our jojb donem- building of the boat and my certain help to this task we managed as one of the three teams to built a bott that has actually moved!!we were very happy and proud of oursevels. it required certainly a creartivtity and also it was an action for sure. then we have also been doing all sort of excerisses on istra wchih were also very interesting and important. i Belive tnad i think that we have done a very good job especially during our actives.And also as Mr.o connor said it was a nice time, well we had fun also for example when we plained the game with sheep and opond. we were basically trying to get the sheep to the pond without talking only by a orders that were to be either a claps or a whistles. it was very huge and nice fun and even better that we learned how to communicate and work, we have collaborated - successfully arguably since our team // my tema won, and we have also found new areas of our strengths and tried something new. we have been trying very hard and after all our efforts ere successfuly awarded with a first place amonghts the teams.:))it was av try nice day nd huge thanks to chemistry teacher mr.Gray who planned and arranged these activities for us and we have also enjoyed it i bee live and think.:)) because during that time we ve been creative, active and we have been all working together,.:))so all in all we had a very nice time, even thuhg the work was sometimes tiring, and hard.Thanks for istra to all the students and ofc teachers.:)) we had a pretty nice time§!!:)))

Park cleaning.:))

As the weather got better the last days // months in Moscow,. After a very long winter.we have again started enjoying the environment outside of our doors, and we have started to visit the parks and gardens which were no longer under the piles of snow. I believe that even if was the wnter a bit depressing especially fo r the reasons that it was very long and tiring, i think that We were neyjoing the spring and wer are enjyoing the smmmer time because of that even more now.I have although, again planned to help with the cleaning and evrything so i did.i Went to the park also wit my dogs and i HAVE spent some nice there, and I have becusse I am an person with awareness about the clean environment also cleaned the park.I think that it is very useful to clean the parks not only for ourselves but also for the other ppl,.:)) I think that i am helping when i am celaning the animals, the plants an humans well resp. Humanity as well. I elibe that it is a good service activity because wer are working outside in the community and we are actaully helping something, that is all in all very important.And the cleaning park might appeart to be a minor thing but actaully it supports the whole environment and the plantet.i thINK That I am doing a good job when helping and I d also like to continue this and that is why when i am going to the aprk with my dogs, i am triying to clean things that i can see on the ground and not only in the park but also outside while i am walking them,.RThis service action, however also helps and supports the awareness of the soceity and i HOPe that if people will see me and see me cleaning the park they d also tink about their actions and that we should actaully elp and also that they shall not be throwing stuff and things on the floor bucause it is actaully very bad.

I have been to the dog shelter in Slovakia , while I was here during the holidays we had both in March and the May. I really am happy that I made it and that I have been there because it is one of the places , which I believe really needs help and support as well. I was helping with the dog – walking and also with the cleaning of the dog shelters.I believe that this is very helpful and interesting since people that are working there very hard, btu they still need some help.I have walked several dogs, and it was very nice for me to see them happy and everything since they haven't really been outside for a while, well some of them,.I have took them to the forest that is near to the dog shelter, also with my friend, who went with me to help them.I think that even though they have very hard life there in the dog shelter, since they in spite of being in arguably a nice environment I believe that still their lifes would almost cerstainly be better at home at someones house.However it might be argued that if they would again find themselves in houses like they wre before – not loved but treated wrongly, they might rather prefer to stay at the dog shelter.

I think that helping them was also a very nice experience for me again, because I have learned that we should not only care about our own dogs but also about others and that the society offers different options to help.And sadly people are also mean and are doing very wrong things to the animals around them,.And I also believe taht cleaning the dog shelter gave me also a lot,.since I have learned what to do tehre and also that we can help them in several different ways.I was also happy to been here so that i can sahre my experiences wih my friends, and reccomend them to go there and afterwards I might increase the number of helpers for the shelter.

My dog shows.

As I am active in the dog shows very often, i have been to other again. I am working with my dogs to those moments by training them.I am also preparing them for them because they aer very interesting for both me and my family and them of coursem,too.

And because I got a new dog while we had the march holidays, it was and is a vey important and also an difficult task to train and weoki witha samll young dog. I have been training with her and with both of them everyday.And all in all it was nice, because se got a ver nice results after we have took an participation on a dog show in the mOSCOW and also in Nicosa, in Cpyrus.She was showing herself all right, even though we had some issuess in the ring, btu she still is a very small and young dog so we will train and woek more and it will get better, soon, i belIEVE.

And I have also been happy that they are very nice together.And I ams also socializing her so she dould become to be a nice, intelligent , polite and social cavalier, well a dog.I alos belive that this is going on nicely and we are on our way in a good sense..:) She is very sweet and we re also spenading a a lot of time playing together aroung, and i AM taking care of her a lot.:)) She is lovely also with m older dog. They both went

to a dog shows together, where once my old dog was awaryded with being enetered to the champion class Excellent 2,RES.Cac but weinner of the class. I believe that this was an nice successfull result but also my little girl was awarded with the Verry promising 1, Best baby girl, Best Baby of Breed,..

on THE Other dog shows wehre we have been on to was in the Cyprus in the Nicosia.Little girl Daisy was in the baby puppy class and her results were amazing, and very nice again- she got VERY Promising 1, ,Best baby girl of breed, and Best Baby of Breed. With a very nice judge report.My dog – Nino (kEVIN) was enetered to te champion class and was awarded with th e titles: excellent 1,CAC,CACIB,BOB → Best of breed / dog. So he has been finally awarded with the titles that added up one new championship - - he became to successfully be an MultiChampion, with the third champioinshiop of a country – champion of Cyprus. I hope that we will get other results like this in the future more and gain..:))

Weather club..:)

We have again throught the whole term been working on the activity taht is for us in the school thanks to our geogprahy,ESS teacher and CAS co-ordinator mR.O connor.:)), the weather club.

Since i think that the awareness of the weather and its conditions and sate is very important i belive that this activity s very useful and i am also very thanksful for that. I have been doing those measurings wiht my friend Neda and also my frien Minjin. We have been taking this our job in a serious way and we tried to do our best in the measurings. I have been doing this wih a happiness &

joy because i know that all in all we will také all the measurings and this wonderufl idea would transerf to our own school invesrgainton and research.I believe that we re doin a good job and i think and hope that we would continue in it.:)) sucessfully.i HAVE also although helped with the writing and the date when we had a time adn we added our new data on the graph.i AM really happy that we are encourgaed and supported by the school to do such thing.Thank you.:))to evreynoe.:))

Drama and helping.:)))

Since I have thought alot about my creativity for my CAS. I have decided to help with the drama lessons and drama in our school.I was asking drama teacher for an help and opportunities to help, and so I have helped him with the drama exams during the tiem taht Y11's were taking them.I think that I have also been creative by this because I was helping with the decorations what implied painting and helping with the setting up. I think that drama is a very interesting and creative subjects and I d also like to také it.It was very interesting for me to help with the things because it was more than being creative but also responsible at the moment.And I think that we jelped with my frienD Aina alot because it was not only time-consuming for Mr.byers abut also it was also good that we have been working to gether and we have co-operated with aina.And I really liked it also because we have really tried something new, well if i am only to speak about myself surely because i haven't took drama lessons before so now I have also got used tot he process of preparations.We have as i said helped with preparationf of the room for the exams, and also the „non – disturb“ signs and everything.I really liked it and it was to sum up something realy new for me and interesting.I d liek to thanks for that and also for the work with aina.:))

I was painting during this term while I had some time. I think that by this i Have also achieved a certain progress as i ve continued something waht i not only like but what i also enjoy. I was again painting abstract art because this is the one I really like. I have been painting sich art when i was in the arts schol.This abstract art was actually one of the reasons I have also continued in the painting and drawing since I left the arts school. I believe that i Have done a progress also.

I like painting when i am alone because it is helping me to think, and I also enjoy being alone so i can really truely concetrate on the work that I am working on. I think that abstract art is not only about different colours and such things but also bout the feelings you are giving into the drawings and paiting. It is in my opinion also very highly creative since you are not only speding some time planning but if you really want to have a nice work, you also have to work very hard, btu creatively.

I think that abstract art is special in a way that i can express myself my thoughts and everything i think and feel.I really think and belive that abstract art in spite of being sometimes judged as an non – art because it is something wat is probably hard to judge, or looks simple or too diffucult, is a very evenn though a special kind of art but very nice and also useful for the both society and the painter.

I Was planning to pain the pictures of pictures i am posting now because i really wanted them to be nice.Well nice in my opinon at least.:)) I think that even though i have been following in one of the cases the Mr.Kandinski's work it was also a part of tme that was included in the picture.

And in the second picture I have put my imagination and houghts so it would be perfect.Well of course there also are areas in which we can progress and increase our skills, but i Hope that it would be liked and i D really also enjoy working on the paintingd also in the future, since I rly like it.

I injured my leg, when I was going outside of my house and I stepped on a step in our kitchen. This might sound weirdly but I have almost broke my leg!!It was very painful, when it happened - immediately. Well then although, it did not hurt, on the next day - on Saturday morning, I woke up and I could have barely walked. My leg got a bit bigger and I as I mentioned was facing some kind of troubles when I was walking.We went to an hospital, me, my parents and my brother. They X-rayed my leg and told me that I did not break it but, that my tissues around that place where I hurt myself were very badly hurt and hit.They gave me a gypsum because they said that it would get better sooner if I'd have it in the gypsum for a few days. It was very painful anyways and I was taking some pills,-painkillers. Then during the next week, my gypsum was taken down. My leg was covered in bruises, which were the sign of my previous accident. This accident required a bit of time to get better, while I was walking. However in the first few days after they took my gypsum off / down, I was having pain while I was walking.

The whole reconvalesnces required me not doing any sports for two weeks, and then to start slowly doing the excerise I was supposed to do, ones that doctors told me to.This basically was me excerising with the leg several excerises. Some times they were painful, but after all I was doing them all with the will and hopes that my leg would be better.I also started swimming again when I was feeling a bit better.But then this very strange thing happened, and my second leg started to hurt at the place where I hurt my first leg before.This was very weird to be as I have not experienced such thing before, but I was told by my mum that it was because I have been excerisisng and using the "not - hurt" - 'normal leg more so therefore the "normal one started to hurt on the place I hurt the first one.

During this I have tried something new - new exercising so therefore undertaken new challenges.Even though I would have rather not hurt my leg, and undertook another, more interesting and better challenges.:)Natalia.

Debate club

As I used to debate when I was in Slovakia, I am continuing with debating in Moscow in BIS. I am running debate club which is very interesting, for now we only had a few lessons but they were all indeed very interesting.Debating is very important, and useful as well.One not just learn how to argue, or debate but also the rules, and how to build up arguments.First lesson was with the highest participation and I explained to my fellow "students" the system of debating, debates, and I told to them many informations. It was very interesting I think and also they were listening carefully.Some of them expected debate at the first lesson, but that was simply just not possible:)I showed them a video from one of the competitions, I think that they understood what debating means, and how it works.Next time we met, we played games, so that they d develop their argument-skills.I have developed new skills and undertook new challenges - since I haven't run debate club before.I have also done some creativity as I have prepared the posters. I have also shown personal perseverance and provided activity for other students.I have also considered ethical implications of my actions.I also planed and initiated activities, since I am the one running the debate club, we have our English teacher Mrs.Gray supervising us.:)

Winter Activity Sports Day

In our school, we again had nice opportunity to organize, and to help organizing another event - this time it was Winter Activity Sports day. We planned it for a longer time, and I believe that the event was good and everyone got fun. So we divided ourselves into groups, and I was with two of my friends - Neda and Sabina.The three of us were organizing a Treasure hunt.Others were in charge of snow castles,snow sculptures, sport activities, painting, and many other activities. Our activity - the Treasure hunt was set in the hall.This was a meeting spot, this was the place where all the kids came with their tutors, and from here they started their exciting Treasure hunt!We basically put questions all over the school and they needed to answer all of the questions - and importantly correctly.So that they can get prices.Price was chocolate, and when they came with all the answers they needed to solve a puzzle and to answer the question - "Who is on this picture?".And only after that they received their prices.It was very interesting and I think that the kinds enjoyed it.Questions were not hard, well some of them were but since they were difficult we labelled them "challenge question" and it really was only a challenge question.Most of the groups got it but with a little help,indeed.:) I also had fun not only organizing it but also when I took part in some of the other activities.For example snow obstacle it was very funny. Other well all activities were funny and interesting as well.We had worked in teams, so we improved our team work, I am also happy that I got to know new people / from younger years.All in all I have developed new skills and undertaken new challenges - I have never organized such activity before and I didn't try them before, as well.I have shown personal perseverance and also provided service to kids since we helped them to improve and develop their logic understanding skills, and others.I have also considered ethical implications of my actions. Valentines disco

There was a Valentines disco on 14.2 in our school. It was because the 14.2 is a day when you show your love, feelings to people you like or love like friends or something more. We dont actually used to celebrate it few years ago but because of the western influence on the whole world we do celebrate it nowadays. In my previous school we also had discos on Valentines day, so it was fine for me to have one on Valentines day. This disco was however different to the ones that I have been on Valentines day. This was because this time I and my classmates were the ones organising it. We had divided the roles and I was in charge of preparing posters. I also however on the disco helped with the sandwiches and I also been helping in selling drinks and chips. I was also decorating the hall two hours before the actual disco took place. I think that the decoration was very well done and our schoolmates liked it as well. Some of my friends were in charge of music and were DJs. I liked their choice of music and I think that the others liked it as well, as the atmosphere was very nice and we all were having fun.

Although the aim of disco was not only to have fun and dance it was also to raise money for the guide dog.We are raising money for the dog to help with the training and to help blind people to get their well - trained dogs. We raised money on the disco in december and we raised some money on the Valentines disco as well. We did this by selling sandwiches,drinks,chips.We also raised money because it was an non-uniform day and everyperson that came without uniform had to pay some amount of money, this money therefore also went to the dog.Then we also made money because we prepared a valentines box. This box was for us, students, and teachers as well to write a love or a friend letter to someone which would be afterwards given to a person that you wrote it to.It was to be either anonymous or unanynomous so the person would be either surprised and curious or will thank you and be happy. I was helping with the creation of the Valentines card. Then I also helped when selling them. I think we did a pretty good job as a huge amount of people actually bought them.So we made people not only to spent money which we can afterwards donate to the guide dog but we also made them to be happy.

I think that everyone liked disco, and we raised lots of money so we were very successful. I completed this CAS objectives.

Increase awareness of my own strengths and areas for growth  as I have never been selling love cards or friend card, as well as have not been decorating hall for the Valentines day.

Parent's meeting

31.1.2012 parent's meeting for years 10,11,12,13 took place. We (my friends and me) helped and we were making coffee,tea, for teachers as well as parents. We also helped when parents came and didn't know where to go,etc. I think that this was pretty good event because we improved our "coffe-making-skills." as well as did some team - building as well. I am also adding some pictures.  

Dog show & creativity

So I have again took participation at dog show this time it was National one - it was held in Crocus exhibition centre.This shows name was - -Л. П. САБАНЕЕВА.  Show was very nice, and Cavalier's started on time. My dog won his class with Excellent 1,CW,CAC, then continued for Best male, and was afterwards awarded with BOB- which stands for Best of Breed. I was handling him, judge was Mr.Zhuk from Belarus. Huge thanks to him once more, Kevin (my dog) also full filed terms and conditions, and gained titles Champion RKF and Champion RFOS. So now he is double champion of RKF and new champion of RFOS.We were in the finals but we weren't placed. I took pictures of dogs so I full filed some of the activities that I put as my targets this term(creativity) - taking pictures.Enjoy.

CAS 2012 PLAN

I would like to write about my 2012 CAS plan. I would like to continue cleaning park as service, I would like to add handling dogs on exhibition for free. I am trying to find as much as informations as possible so I can make this happen. My creativity and action think is going to be running debate club, I already found out informations with my debate trainers while I was in Slovakia during winter break. And i spoke with teachers about that. I will also as service help on dog shows. As activity I d continue going dancing and going to gym, as with my health conditions there is not much to do. In terms of creativity I will continue painting, and I was thinking about writing not only articles but poems as well. And I will also continue taking pictures.

Creativity & Activity

I have with my family and friends visited High Tatras during our christmas break. High Tatras are on the borders of Slovakia and Poland. They are part of Tatra Mountains. We have been to Tatranska Lomnica and Strbske pleso - parts that are famous for winter sports, beautiful nature. One winter olympics were held here - in Strbske pleso. We have been to Lomnicky stit -- Lomnicky peak, it is the second highest peak in High Tatras, peak is connected by cable car with Tatranska Lomnica, its summit is 2634 metres above sea level. There is a solar observatory and permanent weather station on the peak. I have done some pictures and therefore I have done some creativity. I have also developed new skills because I have never took pictures in such conditions - minus 15 and in 2624 m. above sea level. I have also done some activity because I was walking on Strbske pleso and also in Tatranska Lomnica as well as on the station Hrebienok" that is on way to Lomnicky peak. In conclusion I have done creativity as well as activity.

Charity work

As I have promised I was helping the dog shelters in Moscow. I have again donated food that my dog won at International dog show held in Moscow on 10.-11 December 2011. I have also helped to dog shelter that was there by leafleting the papers of charity. I have developed new skills - leafleting the papers, helped to increase the awareness of problems. 

Christmas

We have got an event in BIS and that was Christmas karaoke but it was not only about karaoke we have also done a loads of stuff in terms of decorating school, class. I am in form group with my classmates  from Year 12 and Pre IB. We have agreed on singing one russian song - Zelonaja Jolocka. I was singing with my friends and we have also agreed on a dance. I was rabbit. So I have also done some acting skills. I have also done a costume for me and my friend Vinit that was playing an christmas tree - Jolocku. I have done some creativity, by being active. We were also raising money for charity and I have helped when representing one of the activities when we were raising the money. All in all I have developed new skills - singing in russian, then I have also developed my skills by creating costumes, and I have also developed my skills when persuading kids to vote and to take participations in activities. We planned and initiated activities increased our awareness of our weaknesses and strengths.

Arts club

I was visiting art school but I have not yet been in BIS Arts club. I went there one thursday and I spoke with Mr.Brack and then I have painted abstraction - style that I used to paint when I was painting in my arts school. I have therefore done some creativity. I have done continued painting so I was fulfilling what I planned to at the beginning of the year - painting.

Jumble sale

I havent uploaded my blog for a while, by this time many things had happened. We have for example organized Jumble sale. Unfortunately we haven't managed to organize it for the first time but we managed for the second time. And in my opinion it was very successful - we brought a huge number of things and we also made money that we needed. I was personally helping by bringing stuff as well as helping when selling the things. I think by jumble sale we weren't  only selling  things to raise the money for charity but we have also increased the knowledge of our school mates that they all need to help the charity and they should be trying all the time as much as they could. I have also made posters for the jumble sale so I have done Creativity as well as Service. We have developed our skills in several fields - for example in persuading kids to buy products. I have undertook new challenge when creating the posters.
