Cleaning park and dog shelter

So due to my CAS plan I was cleaning park, and also went to dog shelter and walked dog. It was very interesting for me as I was in dog shelter for the first time in my life. Because in spite of having dogs for twelve years now, and visiting lots of dog shows, spending time on agility. I have never been there, maybe because I was actually afraid that I would like to take every dog away from there. But on the other hand I am very happy that I have done something - at least something for them and walked them. It was a new experience.

  • I have undertook new challenges
  • Showed commitment
  • Planed and initiated activities
  • Engaged with issues of global importance

Swimming & dancing

I have wrote to my CAS plan that I will be swimming and dancing over year. So I did. Mostly every day I am visiting gym near to my apartment. I was dancing latin dances previous week and this week swimming. I basically try to swim every day because it is good for my health and I need it. Also it is good for my CAS. Latin dance was fun, never tried such things before so I developed new skills. I am happy that I am visiting dance classes because I also have fun so, yes.

Calendar for BIS Moscow 2012

As I mentioned in my CAS plan I used to paint previously in Slovakia. I will continue in this hobby here as well. We were given opportunity to paint a front page for BIS Moscow calendar for 2012. On the previous one that won there was a Big Ben on right side and Kremlin on left side. My idea as I love dogs, was to pain t something that will not only be for calendar but will be a joy for me to paint. So my idea was to paint typical English breed on one side and typical Russian breed on other side. As I am lucky to be owner of one of the most typical English breeds - amazingly stunning Cavalier King Charles Spaniel (Royal breed, named after King Charles II. even Queen Elizabeth was a huge fan and after her coronation ran straight to her dog - small, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. It is the only breed in the world that is allowed to go to Westminster palace) and Russian Borzoi on the other site - Borzois were originally owned by nobleman and royalty only. Both breeds are beautiful and popular, so I expect most of the people to recognize them. They are in different FCI groups, with Cavalier being in IX. Borzoi is in X.
I have developed my skills, increased awareness of strengths and areas for growth, undertook new challenge - never painted dogs before. Planed and initiated activity - i needed to do plan for it because I don t have time.

IB PRESENTATION

We had this presentation of IB diploma program. We were in hall, and we spoke about the IB to our fellow students in year 11. It was new for me because I have never spoke to people about IB. It was interesting because few days a go Mr.Parker told us about learning by experience - learning by doing. It was interesting because it also included a game, when we were supposed to describe to one of our house members one / two / several IB Learner profile characteristics without using the words itself. I think that due to this game we now all remember what we are supposed to be like. Then he told us to prepare presentations about certain topic. My house - Tolstoy had CAS. We have divided the group work between us and then on one they during the weekend we had presentation. Our group went the last, and we had got funny, nice presentation and I think that year 11s enjoyed it and will remember it. It counts to service
I have increased awareness of strengths and areas for growth - speech skills, undertook new challenges, planned and initiated activity - power point presentation, plan. Worked collaboratively with others - my house, Showed commitment, developed new skills
